Elma Ferchland lives and works nearby Düsseldorf.
The self-taught artist takes pictures and calls her technique woolen needlework. Since autumn 2013, realistic images and sheep wool objects have been created using the felting needle. These refer to motifs from nature, often also to other art forms such as music or German poetry. The trained pianist also gives lessons in woolen needlework and has already exhibited her work at home and abroad. Elma Ferchland is now looking forward to being able to present a selection of works to you at SKEI. Our guests are cordially invited to go one step further: let the artist introduce you directly to their way of working so that they can finally take home a small work they have created themselves.
