Elma Ferchland lives and works near Düsseldorf. The self-taught artist makes pictures and calls her technique wool needling. Since autumn 2013, she has been creating realistic pictures and objects from sheep's wool using a felting needle. These relate to motifs from nature, often also to other art forms such as music or German poetry. The trained pianist also gives lessons in wool needling and has already exhibited her work at home and abroad. Elma Ferchland is now looking forward to presenting a selection of works at SKEI. Our guests are cordially invited to go one step further: Let the artist introduce you directly to her working method and finally take home a small work of art you have created yourself under her guidance.
